Description

Philips P2000T homecomputer from 1981. For parts, non working.

Based on the Z80 processor at 2.5 MHz it was Philips first home computer, introduced in 1980. It has 16 Kb RAM expandable to 48 Kb. 

Philips recognizably used components from their dictation machines: the mini cassette drive (hold up to 42 Kilobytes ), and television sets: the teletext graphics hardware.

It was popular especially in educational markets and for videotext communication.

Discontinued in 1984 when Philips entered the MSX market.
