Description

Kaypro 10 computer from 1983. Tested: works.

Features a Z80 processor at 2.5MHz and 64 Kb of RAM and had a 5.25 inch floppy drive (single sides and held 191 Kb) and a 10 Megabyte harddisk. Which also was the reason of the 10 in the name. It was a big deal to have a computer with a built in harddrive back then, and the Kaypro 10 is one of the earliest computers to do so.

It normally was used to run CP/M.

The green 9 inch monochrome display could display 80 columns. And this computer competed with the Osborne 1 which had a much smaller 5 inch screen.
